JANA2006 is a crystallographic program focused to solution, refinement and interpretation of difficult, especially modulated structures. It calculates structures having up to three modulation vectors from powder as well as single crystal data measured with X-ray or neutron diffraction. The objective of the workshop to be held in TUCr2012 is to teach the applications and to establish the physical concepts and principles of JANA2006 to young crystallographers in Turkey.
The workshop will be held from 06-07 June 2012 at Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Science. The language of the workshop is English. Lectures and practical exercises will be given by Prof. Dr. Vaclav Petricek and Prof. Dr. Michal Dusek, developers of JANA2006. The detailed program can be found at (http://tucr2012.org/index.php/en/jana2006-workshop/jana2006-program). Participation in the workshop is free of charge, but the limited number of participants will be accepted. Please fill the application form at (http://tucr2012.org/index.php/en/jana2006-workshop/jana2006-registration) for registration. The deadline for registration is 30 April 2012.
Accomodation options for TUCr2012 are valid for JANA2006 workshop.
In order to meet travelling and accommodation expenses for young researches from inland (under 35 age) who will participate to JANA2006 workshop to be held in İzmir, 6-7 June 2012, it will be appealed to the 2217 Support Program for Graduate Summer School and Similar Other Activities from TUBITAK (The Scientific & Technological Research Council of Turkey). In the event of being allocated financial support, the support applications from participants to Organizing Committee will be assessed.
